Environmental technology verification: Add-on NO{sub x} controls

1999
The paper discusses the environmental technology verification (ETV) of add-on nitrogen oxide (NO{sub x}) controls. Research Triangle Institute (RTI) is EPA`s cooperating partner for the Air Pollution Control Technology (APCT) Program, one of a dozen ETV pilot programs. Verification of add-on NO{sub x} controls is currently underway, with a technical panel of stakeholders formed and generic verification protocol developed. The process of developing the verification protocol is described, its contents summarized, and the status and plans for selected and testing technologies reviewed.
