Superconvergence of elliptic reconstructions of finite element solutions of parabolic problems in domains with piecewise smooth boundaries

Abstract This paper addresses the superconvergence properties of the elliptic reconstruction of semi-discrete finite element solutions of linear parabolic problems on domains with piecewise smooth boundary. Numerical computations are presented and explained employing the optimal a priori error estimates proven in the Appendix.
