A Comparative Evaluation of Ceramic Membrane Bioreactors

Abstract Membrane reactors technology has increasingly grown in popularity and attracted attention. Membrane bioreactors (MBRs) have become serious competitors to other methods for cleaning water. This is a new technology that is expensive but is complicated to operate. The choice of such a technology requires a consideration of all of its advantages and disadvantages. Customers are able to choose among different varieties of configurations of MBRs. A smart choice may provide economic efficiency based on an economic investigation of MBRs and their different designs. This study provides an economic assessment of MBRs.
