Conservation of mural paintings. Pagan, burma. 2-29 january 1987

Report on an ongoing project for the conservation and restoration of the mural paintings and external stuccoes of the temple of pagan, burma. The 1987 mission continued cleaning and consolidation work at the kubyaukgy temple worksite in mynkaba, as well as carrying out emergency consolidation and fixation of loose plaster and stuccoes on stupa n. 767, near temple n. 765 south gumi. Observations on and proposals for the training of local craftsmen are included.
