(E)-7-(2-Fur­yl)-6-heptene-2,5-dione

The mol­ecule of the title compound, C11H12O3, is essentially planar, the maximum deviation from the least-squares plane through all non-H atoms being 0.37 (1) A for the methyl group. The mol­ecular packing is made up of a network of C—H⋯O hydrogen-bonding inter­actions involving the carbonyl groups.
