Dynamic Encryption Keys Methods

2005
In this Paper, cycling chaos,in which orbits of certain coupled iterated maps make periodic excursions between chaotic sets,is proposed as a new encryption approach that combines chaotic behavior with periodic switching of keys.First,we implement the encryption and decryption of cycling chaos system which is composed by three one-dimensional coupled cells. The internal dynamics of each cell is determined by the Cubic equation. Then we extend our method to three three-dimensional coupled cells system in which the internal dynamics of each cell is determined by Lorenz equation. The encryption and decryption of this system are also implemented. The actual encryption process is similar to the one used by Baptista~([2]),except that now different chaotic attractors, and consequently different keys, which are also periodically switched to encrypt each character of a message. This new method will greatly enhance the security of encryption, for it uses more than one chaotic attractors.
