Temperature dependence of the photoinduced micro-crystalline surface topography of a diarylethene

2013
By alternate irradiation with UV and visible light, reversible topographical changes were observed. Step and valley formation while keeping the crystal confinement was observed below the glass transition temperature (Tg), while crystal growth via a softened state was observed above the Tg on the same diarylethene crystalline surface.
