2006
Among other periodic monitoring and surveillance programs of the State Veterinary and Food Administration of Slovak Republic there is also the program Radiohygienic surveillance of agricultural raw, semi-, and final products made in Slovakia. In the year 2005 six commodities were sampled giving a total of 160 samples analysed by HPGe spectrometry for the abundance of man-made radionuclides. Besides {sup 137}Cs no other anthropogenic radionuclide was found in the samples of raw cow milk, raw sheep milk, beef, pork, wild boar, roe deer, red deer and wheat. Highest level of {sup 137}Cs activity was found in the sample of wild boar (32.71 {+-} 1.88) Bq {center_dot} kg{sup -1} from the surroundings of Maly Sulin in the district Stara Lubovna. (authors)
