Pig behavior monitoring method and device

An embodiment of the invention provides a pig behavior monitoring method and device. The method comprises steps as follows: acceleration data detected by an acceleration sensor arranged on the body surface of a pig at a certain time interval are acquired; movement amplitudes of the pig at fixed time points are determined according to the acceleration data at adjacent fixed time points; a movement amplitude mean value corresponding to the set time interval is determined according to the determined at least one movement amplitude in the set time interval, and the set time interval comprises at least one fixed time point; a pig behavior mode corresponding to the movement amplitude mean value is determined according to the relation between the movement amplitude and the pig behavior mode, and the determined pig behavior mode is the pig behavior mode in the set time interval. With the adoption of the pig behavior monitoring method and device, pig behaviors can be monitored simply, conveniently and more accurately.
