Recent Progress in Oxidative Coupling of Unactivated Csp3-H Bonds with Other C-H Bonds

2021
The oxidative coupling between two carbon-hydrogen (C-H) bonds offers the most straightforward pathway to construct C-C bonds from hydrocarbons without pre-functionalization, exhibiting high step- and atom- economy. This article featured the recent advances in the oxidative coupling of unactivated Csp3-H with other different hybrid C-H bonds, including Csp-H, Csp2-H and Csp3-H bond. The substrate scope, proposed mechanism and application of these reactions were summarized, intending to provide insights toward developing novel and efficient protocols for the Csp3-C bond construction.
