Reprodutibilidade do teste de força de 10 RM em jovens universitárias

2020
Introduction: The evaluation of the reproducibility of a test can estimate the error made, such as the maximum load test used in strength training. Objective: The objective of the study was to analyze the behavior of training intensity in three sessions of strength evaluation of maximum repetitions in university students with previous experience in strength training. Materials and Methods: Ten women (22,40 ±2,11 years) with previous experience in strength training (8,40 ±4,14 months) performed 3 test sessions of 10 RM in five exercises: leg press 45o, bench press sitting, triceps at the pulley, flexing table and biceps curl. One-way ANOVA tests with Bonferroni post hoc, Bland-Altman plot and Pearson correlation were used. The reproducibility of the tests was assessed by the intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC) with a 95% confidence interval. Results: Reproducibility levels were excellent in all exercises, varying from 0,84 to 0,99, with no significant difference between sessions. The agreement of the results in the exercises: bench press and biceps curl occurred in the second session and in the others, in the third evaluation session. Discussion: Few studies have verified reproducibility in 10 RM tests. Conclusion: Based on the findings presented, there seems to be a need to perform a retest for the exercises: bench press and biceps curl and the third evaluation session on the 45o leg press, triceps on the pulley and flexor table to stabilize the maximum load in 10 repetitions for young women.
