Research on Application of Honeywell PKS in Speed Control of Air Compressor in PTA Device

Through the research on the production process and control strategy of the air compressor unit of the purified terephthalic acid (PTA) device, the Honeywell PKS system is used to control the multi-shaft centrifugal air compressor unit of the PTA unit, and the process is described. Use Matlab software to communicate with Honeywell’s PKS system to optimize its control algorithm to achieve fuzzy PID control of the air compressor speed. Compared with traditional PID control, it has the characteristics of better dynamics and smaller overshoot, making The operation process of the air compressor unit is more stable. Use the Bentley 3500 vibration detection system to monitor the realtime operating status of the unit and transmit the monitoring information to the PKS system through MODBUS for realtime display to ensure the smooth operation of the air compressor unit.
