The Development and Application of A Synthetic IR Thermal Imaging Analysis System

2007
Since IR CCD is sensitive to temperature,a high-pass IR thermal imaging analysis system was built for chemical analysis. The working principle of the instrument is making use of the chromatograph column to separate compounds and bring the separated compounds into combustion catalyst beds by carrying gas oxygen. In the catalyst beds, organic compounds are burned to generate heat and lead to temperature increasing. An IR CCD camera is used to record the temperature increasing information and analyze the composition of samples.Since the IR CCD camera could record information from many samples simultaneously,it is a high-pass technology for chemical analysis. In the current work,an 8-channel parallel analysis system was built, which can analyze 8 samples simultaneously. In this investigation, methanol and acetone were used as probing compounds to verify the instrument.
