Massive Stars: Example Targets for Spectroscopy

During his studies in Canada, Thomas was thrilled by stellar winds and now he wanted to explore them with his private telescope. He was dreaming of clumps, outbursts and stellar disks in the wind, the velocity law and new fantastic discoveries with his spectrograph. Klaus was eager to model the non-thermal equilibrium of stellar atmospheres. However, non-spherical inhomogeneous winds were far too complicated for such a task.
