Photoluminescence Properties of SrZrO3:Eu3+ and BaZrO3:Eu3+ Phosphors with Perovskite Structure.
2010
Abstract Sr1−xEuxZrO3 and BaZr1−xEuxO3 phosphors with different Eu3+-doped contents were synthesized by solid-state reaction. Their microstructure and photoluminescence properties were analyzed by X-ray techniques (XRD) and photoluminescence spectroscopy (PL), respectively. XRD results showed that SrZrO3:Eu3+ and BaZrO3:Eu3+ perovskites belonged to orthorhombic and cubic structure, respectively. PL spectra indicated that SrZrO3:Eu3+ emitted reddish-orange light and Eu3+ ions occupied two sites in SrZrO3 lattice; BaZrO3:Eu3+ emitted orange light and Eu3+ ions occupied one site in BaZrO3 lattice. In addition, the optimal Eu3+-doped contents of Sr1−xEuxZrO3 and BaZr1−xEuxO3 phosphors were both 3 mol%.
