TRACING THE CARBON INTENSITY OF ACTIVE POWER FLOWS IN DISTRIBUTION NETWORKS

This paper describes a method for tracing the carbon intensity of power flows in distribution networks . The method accounts for carbon emissions associated with local consumption of electricalenergy and system losses. The motivation for the approach and its use as an instrument for public engagement is discussed.Methods for the visualisation of the results of carbon-tracing are presented.
