The laser Raman and infra-red spectra of some thiourea and selenourea complexes of platinum (II) and palladium (II)
1968
Abstract The preparation, infra-red and laser Raman spectra of some novel selenourea complexes of platinum and palladium are reported. The data are compared with those from the analogous thiourea complexes. Assignments of spectral features to fundamental modes are attempted. The spectra are in agreement with those expected from non-distorted square planar derivatives. The frequencies of the Se—metal stretching modes are significantly higher than those observed for dimethylselenide complexes. The reverse is true when comparing thiourea and dimethylsulphide containing compounds.
