RESEARCH ON THE MECHANICAL PROPERTIES AND MICROSTRUCTURE OF W-Mo-Cu COMPOSITES

The mechanical properties and fracture morphology of W-Mo-Cu composite in different Mo content and skeleton densities were studied.The results show as follows.For the materials of same or similar skeleton density,Solid solution strengthening effect of the W-Mo-Cu composites in this paper is remarkable at high-temperature.Compared with the W-Cu materials,at 84% of skeleton density and 10wt% mass fraction of Mo content,the high-temperature strength are 330 MPa and 215 MPa at 800℃ and 1 200℃ respectively.The strength increases about 10% and the density decreases about 8%.The strength decreases with increment of Mo content.The fracture morphology shows that crystal size decreases with increment of Mo content,but the proportion of intergranular increases at similar skeleton density.For the same component materials,crystal size and the proportion of transgranular increase with increasing of skeleton density.
