A market-based program for power sales and transmission: One company's approach

1990
Public Service Company of Indiana, Inc., (PSI) filed with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) a multi-faceted, market-oriented program, combining market-priced bulk power sales with open-access transmission service. The filing is a response to the needs of our customers and shareholders and to the opportunities available in our market area. On December 18, 1989, FERC issued an order suspending the filing until May 24, 1990, and setting it for an expedited paper hearing to be completed within 45 days. This is the first paper hearing even held in an electric rate case, reflecting a commitment by the Commission to address the filing as expeditiously as possible.
