DEVELOPING THE DART LESSONS LEARNED PROGRAM: A LEARNING EXPERIENCE

This paper examines the Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) development of a comprehensive Lessons Learned Program (LLP) that will effectively capture, store, and transfer knowledge gained from construction of its light rail system. A general overview is presented of DART's progress to date in creating the LLP program. DART's purpose and need for the program is identified, as is its mission and the goals hoped to achieve with the program. The steps taken to develop the program and an overview of it are also provided.
