Performance Improvement of Three-Phase Squirrel Cage Induction Motor Operating Under Rated Voltages—A Design Consideration for Rural Areas

2020
Because of reactive power requested by the industrialists and agriculturists, three-phase induction motors composed at evaluated voltage are working under the appraised voltage particularly in the rural areas, a long way from the utility focuses. The target of this research article is to enhance torque, effectiveness, power developed, and power factor by using double-cage winding with a new combination of stator and rotor design. The rim_003 rotor bar is used with so_012 parallel tooth opening flat bottom stator with different arrangements of stator winding, which are used for 5 HP three-phase squirrel cage induction motor. JMAG Express is used to figure the execution enhancement of motor under appraised voltage.
