Simultaneous determination of micro-strain in two directions by energy dispersive diffraction using two detectors

A novel setup applying two detectors in the energy dispersive X-ray diffraction mode allows the simultaneous determination of micro-strain in two directions. It has been applied for the measurement of elastic strain perpendicular and parallel to the direction of an applied tensile load.
