Magnetisierbares Vakuumpumpenöl―Eigenschaften und Anwendungen

A magnetic fluid based on a mineral-oil-base vacuum-pump oil is described. Magnetic fluids are currently finding application especially in hermetic seals, and more specifically shaft/housing seals. Magnetic fluids are capable of retaining their stability for many years in the terrestrial gravitational field and in external magnetic fields. Initial results of application of a developmental product in magnetic fluids seals and loudspeakers are reported
