Consultation on the use of certified reference materials for the calibration of moisture measurement instrumentation.

This report covers work done within deliverable 2 of Project TH6 of the Department of Business Innovation and Skills? National Measurement System Programme for Thermal Metrology, 2010 - 2013. NPL have completed a consultation of users and instrument manufacturers in order to identify existing measurement practices when using certified reference materials (CRMs) for water / moisture content to calibrate moisture measurement instrumentation. The purpose of this consultation is to find out the calibration methods currently applied to the range of instrumentation being used for measurements of moisture content in materials across industrial areas and to understand the areas where user needs for measurement traceability are not met
