Research progress on oxidation of catalytic supercritical water

2004
Catalytic spercritical water oxidation (CSCWO) is a recently developed technology for waste water treatment by which the organic compounds are oxidized by an oxidizing agent in the presence of water above its critical point. CSCWO is an environmentally benign process which produces a disposable clean product H_2O ,CO_2 and etc. This rewiew introduces the characteristics of supercritical water (SCW), the process and reaction mechanism. Finally the existing problems and solving metholds related to CSCWO are discussed.
