Utjecaj pH želučanog sadržaja na čvrstoću kirurške rane želučane stijenke

2019
In this paper the tensile strength and durability of two suture materials – Glycomer 631 and Polygliconate, were compared. Characteristics of this materials were also compared under the influence of HCl. Tested sutures were divides into four groups. Each group consisted of four samples. Groups one and three consisted of sutures which were not exposed to HCl, while sutures in groups two and four were exposed to HCl for five days. In groups one and two the properties of Glycomer 631 were tested, while in groups three and four we tested properties of Polygliconate. The recored values were pressure at the moment surgical wound broke, number of sutures on the first and second layer, volume of the liquid at the moment of wound breakage, and place where the sutures broke. The information sustained was entered into Excel, SPSS Software and Statistica 13.3 programme where they were analysed. Based on the results obtained, it can be concluded that HCl has an effect on loss of the tensile strength of Glycomer 631 and Polygliconate used for suturing gastric wounds.
