The aim of this thesis is to explore and describe technologies based on artificial intelligence used in higher education, primarily in the form of digital assistants (applications, robots, algorithms). An anonymous survey was conducted as part of this thesis in which respondents shared their views on the implementation of intelligent systems in local and virtual classrooms, and in general on artificial intelligence in education and how it could affect those who use it. The survey was completed by 348 respondents from 11 countries. Many of them were studying in different study groups. It is important to see what are the aspects of AI that bother students the most and what discourages them from combining the traditional way of teaching with new technology, or conversely, what is attractive to the other group of students.
