Optimal Rate Allocation for Multilayer Networks

2019
Issue of rate allocation on a variety of exotic networks is a vexing one. In this work, a multilayer network is studied for optimal rate allocation with generally speaking inter-layer links appearing as bottlenecks due to constrained capacities. Continuing the idea from our earlier research, we unfold new connections between aggression of users for a resource and clogging of a crucial link between two layers. We believe that in the situation of rampage in post-game scenario or terrorist attacks which have become all too common, and there is a new way to rethink about designing inter-layer links. They are the arteries which are going to choke first and strain the movement of crucial exits in most difficult times. Further, links with aggression and aggregate crowd behavior are illustrated.
