34.2: TN Mode TFT-LCD with In-cell Polarizer

We have developed TN mode transflective TFT-LCDs with higher transmittance by integrating polarizers inside the cell with single cell-gap. This technology improves transmittance up close to that of transmissive TFT-LCDs and also improves chromatic performance and contrast ratio outdoors by reducing ambient light influence.
