STUDY ON PROTECTION BENEFIT OF ZONAL SHRUB SHELTERBELT AT HUNSHANDAKE SANDY LAND

Construction of shelterbelt on pastureland is the main measure of controlling blown sand disaster at Hunshandake sandy land.The result of studies on the protection benefit of different tree species and arrangement of shrub shelterbelt on Hunshandake sandy land showed that according to single zonal shrub shelterbelt,small Chinese tamarisk(Tamarix remosissi) is better than yellow willow(S.gordejevii) at the aspects of decreasing wind speed and increasing land surface roughness.However,the protection benefit of multi-band small Chinese tamarisk with multi-band arrangement can be chosen as the optimal measure used for construction of shelterbelt on pastureland at Hunshandake sandy land.
