Development of Groundwater Resource Management System Baded on COM

Component geography information system (ComGIS) is one of the developing directions of current GIS. The paper explains basic conception of ComGIS, and on the base of system demands, discusses the application of component software technology in the secondary development of GIS from data management, model creation, thematic map, 3D visualization etc. during the development of "Groundwater Resource Management System in South Region of Yangtze Delta".
