A Finite Element Formulation forTransversely Magnetised Plasma Waveguides

Over thelasttwo decades, some groundbreaking research concerning propagation insolid- stateplasmawaveguides hasbeenpublished inseveral journals. Inthispaper, we present a complementary finite element formulation fortheanalysis ofthis class ofstructure. Itisformulated to calculate thecomplexpropagation constant asa function oftheexperimental andmaterial parameters ofthegyroelectric magnetoplasma. Thesolver is validated against previously published experimental datafor aparallel-plate wave-guide structure.
