An Improved Method of Jiles-Atherton Hysteresis Model Based on Variable Time-Step Simulation

To efficiently and accurately model the waveform characteristics of the magnetizing inrush current, an improved hysteresis model based on the Jiles-Atherton theory is proposed, which mainly improves the simulation efficiency. Based on classical theory, considering the characteristics of the large slope of the linear region of the hysteresis loop and many high-frequency components, interpolation and heuristics are introduced to solve the problem of low simulation efficiency in small time steps. Finally, an improved transformer model is established on the CloudPSS simulation platform, and the accuracy and efficiency of the model were verified by comparing the running time and waveform matching degree.
