Draft Whole-Genome Sequences of Ciprofloxacin-Resistant Derivatives of a Bacillus anthracis ΔANR Strain Lacking pXO1 and pXO2 Plasmids.

Mutants of an attenuated Bacillus anthracis (DeltaANR) strain conferring increasing levels of cipro fl oxacin resistance have been described. Here, we report the draft genome sequences of the parent strain (DeltaANR pXO1(-), pXO2(-)) and its derivatives conferring low (step 1; 0.5 mug/ml), medium (step 2; 8 to 16 mug/ml), and high (step 3; 32 to 64 mug/ml) levels of ciprofloxacin resistance.
