Auto-ignition of fire resistant hydraulic fluids at high pressures

Auto-ignition data for phosphate ester hydraulic fluids and explosion initiators in high pressure hydraulic/pneumatic motion compensator systems are reviewed. Data obtained in this study highlight the potential increased danger due to contamination of fire-resistant fluids.
