2D Physical Model Appraisal of A-Jacks Armour Units

The Minor Ports Program of the Department of Lands (formerly with Department of Land and Water Conservation) commissioned Manly Hydraulics Laboratory (MHL) to undertake a model study to assess the performance characteristics of the A-Jacks unit as primary armour for coastal defence works. Initially the unit is to be used in milder (Hsig 20) for A-Jacks units. The paper will discuss the performance of A-Jacks when used in new construction or large areas and when used for repair in conjunction with other armour units such as hanbars and rock.
