Cereal Cropping and Supplemental Irrigation in Tunisia

The cereal sector is of great importance to Tunisian agriculture: it covers large areas, assures the necessary food production, and creates jobs either directly or indirectly. The area sown to cereals is 30–40% of the total arable land, i.e. an average 1.6 M ha.
