New FDNR and FDNC Simulation Configurations Using Inverted VDDIBAs

2021
In this research paper, two voltage differencing differential input buffered amplifier (VDDIBA)-based circuit configurations have been proposed. The first proposed circuit realizes the behaviour of grounded frequency-dependent negative resistance (FDNR), and the second circuit simulates the behaviour of a grounded frequency-dependent negative conductance (FDNC). As per the best knowledge of authors, there are no FDNR/FDNC configurations employing VDDIBA active elements that have been available in the literature and this work can be considered as the first attempt to bridge this gap. Both the developed circuit configurations employ two VDDIBA and three passive elements. The FDNC configuration employs only grounded capacitance and hence found fit for monolithic chip realization. Both the proposed configurations are free from component matching constraint and offer low sensitivity indexes. An active band-pass filtering circuit has been developed for justifying the utilization of one of the presented circuit. Employed VDDIBA model is based on the current feedback operational amplifier (CFOA) and CMOS OTAs. Hence, PSPICE models of AD844 (commercial IC of CFOA) and CMOS OTA are used for simulation purposes to validate all the circuits.
