Stereoselective total synthesis of (+)-boronolide

A seteroselective total synthesis of (+)-boronolide is described. The key steps are Sharpless asymmetric dihydroxylation, Shibasaki's asymmetric Henry reaction, asymmetric allylation and ring closing metathesis.
