A method for preparing a bioerodible implant for the treatment of an eye condition, the method comprising the steps of: (a) grinding a biodegradable polymer; (b) combining the ground biodegradable polymer and particles of an active agent, thus obtaining a combined mixture of ground biodegradable polymer and the active agent particles, in which at least about 75% of the active agent particles have a smaller diameter. of about 20 im; (c) carry out a first extrusion of the combined mixture, thus obtaining a first extrusion product; (d) granulate the first extrusion product; and (e) carry out a second extrusion of the first granulated extrusion product, thereby obtaining a bioerodible implant to treat a medical condition of the eye.
