Identification of inputs and outputs is a necessary aspect in the modelling business processes.This identification is closely linked to the information system that supports the implementation of processes.This article proposes an inputs and outputs identification methodology for business processes in a collaborative environment. Firstly, we analyse different disciplines that have addressed this problem, business process management, enterprise modelling architecture and requirements engineering. Secondly, we review the state of the art in the definition of inputs and outputs of processes. Next, we propose the above mentioned methodology. The proposed methodology difference between outputs of the process that provides value to the customer and other process outputs. Finally, a modelling methodology is proposed for representation and understanding of the process models by users, as well as checking the consistency of the flow of these inputs and outputs.
