Frequency and Phase Response Plotting
1993
We have seen, in programme 5, how to use complex numbers to produce models of circuits which enable their steady-state response to sinusoidal driving functions to be analysed. A particularly important aspect of this theory is the application of the methods of analysis to the derivation of the ‘frequency response’ and ‘phase response’ of circuits. These two responses are a measure of how the input/output amplitude ratio and output phase relative to input phase change over a wide range of frequencies.
