3-Aminothymidine inhibits growth of cultured human T-cell acute lymphoblastoid leukemia cells.

N3-Aminated derivates of thymidine, deoxyuridine and deoxycitidine were synthesized and their growth inhibition activity was tested using two cultured human cell lines, CCRF-HSB-2 and KB. Among the compounds tested, 3-aminothymidine showed growth inhibition activity against CCRF-HSB-2 cells and inhibited DNA synthesis in these cells
