Metaphorical Cognitive Process and Foreign Vacabulary Teaching

The paper discusses metaphor theory of cognitive linguistics as well as its significance for vacabulary teaching: in the development of vacabulary semantic category,in the understanding of vocabulary metaphor concept,in the development of vocabulary meaning.In the vacabulary teaching,the following enlightenments should be seriously taken into consideration: basic category vacabulary,vacabulary metaphor meaning and metaphor extending meaning,and vacabulary cultural connotation.
