Evolución de la minería antigua en el Valle del Rumblar (Baños de la Encina, Jaén)

espanolLos filones mineralizados del valle del rio Rumblar, dentro del conocido distrito minero de Linares-La Carolina fueron explotados intensamente en epoca antigua, fundamentalmente, la Prehistoria reciente y epoca romana. La mejor prueba de ello son los numerosos restos mineros (trincheras, calicatas, socavones, pozos, escoriales…) y poblados que se han conservado fosilizados en el paisaje y que hemos hallado durante los trabajos de campo realizados durante los ultimos anos. En este trabajo analizamos las formas de explotacion de las minas de la cuenca del Rumblar, la organizacion de la produccion minera y la estructuracion del territorio durante las dos etapas de la antiguedad citadas. EnglishThe mineral seams of the Rumblar River Valley, which belong to the mining district of Linares-La Carlonia were intensely exploited during ancient times, especially during recent Prehistory and the Roman Period. The main evidence of this activity are the large number of mining remains (trenches, survey pits, galleries, slag dumps…) and settlements that are fossilized in the landscape and that have been located during the field work carried out in the area en the last years. In this paper we analyze the exploitation system of the mines of the Rumblar Valley, the organization of mine production and the territorial structuring during both Recent Prehistory and the Roman Period.
