Propagation of Spin-Dipole Waves of Centimeter and Millimeter Wave Ranges in Inhomogeneous Bias Magnetic Fields

Propagation of exchangeless spin-dipole waves (SDW) in the centimeter (f ~ 3-20 GHz) and millimeter (f~ 35-60 GHz) wave ranges in ferrite films in inhomogeneous bias magnetic fields is investigated. It has been shown that electromagnetic retardation influences the dispersion properties of the backward volume SDW at longitudinal wave numbers k les 150 cm -1 in the millimeter wave range. A propagation of SDW in inhomogeneous bias magnetic fields is considered within the framework of complex geometrical optics. A possibility of the transformation of the type of SDW (from surface SDW to backward volume SDW) has been demonstrated both in centimeter and millimeter wave ranges.
