Melanotic progonoma a case report of unusual tumor of infants

Melanotic neuroectodermal tumor of infancy (MNTI) is a rare, distinctive neoplasm that usually affects infants. They usually present it selves early in first childhood.Typically presenting local aggressive behavior; they are prone to local recurrence and rapid growth. The majority of reported cases have occurred within the maxilla. The prognosis is excellent after complet surgical excision, long-term follow-up is always mandatory .Malignant transformation may occur but is exceptional. We report a 6-month-old female baby with a similar tumor involving superior maxillary alveolar ridge. The case has being reported for its rarity and the classical clinical, radiological, histopathological features and management.
