A Novel Evaluation Approach for the Elevation Datum Product

The traditional evaluation of elevation datum products usually focus only the aspect of accuracy and spatial resolution. Which cannot comprehensively show the applicability in the special fields. Therefore, a novel evaluation programme from aspects both of the quality and production benefit of the elevation datum products, is presented in this paper. The experiments results based on the DOM process in surveying and mapping fields show that, the approach works well for the evaluation for the regional or global Geoid models such as HNGG2017, EGM96 and EGM2008.
