A process for coating a material web

The invention relates to a process for coating a material web. Since in blade coaters, the order amount is poorly controlled and limited in the upward direction and also can arise squeegee strip, it is the object of the invention to eliminate these disadvantages. Therefore, a method is proposed, in which according to the invention at least one application medium with at least a blade coater (11, 13) is applied and in a subsequent operation at least one further application medium with at least one curtain applicator (16, 17) is applied.
