Creation d’une vitrotheque de dioscorea sp. Et essai d’utilisation des vitroplants de dioscorea alata par les paysans. exemple de la cote d’ivoire

Les techniques de culture in vitro ont ete utilisees en vue de conserver des accessions de dix especes d'ignames (Dioscorea spp.) de la collection du Laboratoire de genetique de l'Universite de Cocody (Cote d’Ivoire). La mise au point de ces techniques a permis la conservation en vitrotheque des vitroplants de soixante cinq genotypes. Le pourcentage de reussite apres l'acclimatation (sevrage) des vitroplants se situe a plus de 90 % chez les 10 especes etudiees. Les vitroplants sevres des cultivars Florido et Brazo fuerte de Dioscorea alata L. ont ete transplantes en champ experimental. Certains parametres agronomiques relatifs a la productivite ont ete etudies : le poids moyen des tubercules issus de ces vitroplants est de 200 g. Ces petits tubercules sont un maillon qui permet le passage des vitroplants d’une vitrotheque au champ des paysans. In vitro tissue culture techniques were used to conserve different genotypes belonging to ten yam species (Dioscorea sp.) from the collection of the Laboratory of Genetics of the University of Cocody (Ivory Coast). The adaptation of these techniques has allowed in vitro conservation of vitroplants from 65 genotypes distributed among the 10 species. The percentage of success after acclimatization (weaning) of the vitroplants was more than 90 % for the 10 species studied. Vitroplants of the cultivars "Florido" and "Brazo fuerte" of Dioscorea alata L. have been transplanted in the field. Several agronomic parameters related to the productivity have been measured. The average weight of tubers coming from these vitroplants was 200 g. Those tubers allow the transfer of the material conserved in vitro from the laboratory to the field for use by farmers.
